A Whole Day Off Every Week

And how as a VA, I give time and life back to Business Owners

Since it can be a bit obvious when a VA says they save people time, I wanted to give an example of how and when I've done this for a business in the past.

My First Time-Saving Mission

To explain, I get to discuss my very first client when I was just starting out!  In 2021, Vicky contacted me through LinkedIn as an initial stranger, and with a background in IT like myself, it was such a nice way to start my business.

Vicky had done a bit of research on me and knew she wanted to work with a VA, and had a clear goal in mind; to be able to take one day a week off from her business.

As a Local Councillor and juggling family life, she, like a lot of business owners, started with a dream and a plan, but soon realised how much running a company entailed.

Getting into VA Mode to regain the time

Within a few months of working with me, Vicky was taking every Wednesday off work, to do something she enjoyed and to just have a breather.

So, how did I help?

The business had been missing out on potential clients due to missed or late proposals submissions and a large workload. As we began working together (starting at 10 then moved to 20 hours per month), here are some things that I implemented to take the load off -

·       Creating branded templates for proposals and presentations

·       Preparing social media posts with images, plus scheduling and posting them

·       Managing email marketing and Zoom set-up for public online workshops

·       Managing testing for a niche online medical library system

·       And editing content on the website.

Overall, it was the consistency of me meeting with Vicky every week and helping organise her tasks, plus knowing she had solid support, that really allowed her to commit to that one day off, EVERY WEEK.

For Vicky, it was the fact that she simply didn’t have to worry about doing it all herself anymore. But having worked with a variety of businesses, I know that each one works to a different flow. The first step would be to work towards your personal goals and see what can be delegated, documented or streamlined by me.

So, how would taking a day off a week feel for you, does that even sound possible at this moment in time? If you are looking to be able to take some time off, or simply reduce the feeling of overwhelm, give me a shout and we can work together to make it happen.
